Versatility

These boots transfer energy from your feet to your skis whether you’re in powder, crud, or on hardpack. They ski like downhill race boots but are way more comfortable. Flick the switch on the back of the heel for walk mode and you’ll experience a subtle but noticeable forward movement. The boot’s slightly rockered soles makes walking easier whether you’re on a bootpack or crossing a slippery parking lot. 

Liner 

Lange’s Control-Fit liner contains Thinsulate, an insulating material that keeps your feet toasty. The toe box feels remarkably roomy given how narrow the boot is, which helps prevent frosty toes. 

Drawbacks

These boots are stiff, although not overbearing, and they’re best suited for women with narrow feet. If you’re not a strong enough skier, they may end up taking you for a ride instead.
